"NEW Attention Parents"

The Waukegan Youth Football Association and The Waukegan High School Bulldogs Football Team have joined forces to create a "Feeder" program.

After countless years of hard work, we have a wonderful opportunity to expand our program. In conjuction with the High School, we will work hand in hand with training our kids to prepare them for the next levels of football and academics. In addition to our alliance with the Bulldogs, we have the wonderful opportunity to work with the 21st Century STARS.

The STARS is a "Life Coaching" program that inspires students by helping them create and activate a Life Plan for success!

S.T.A.R.S = Successfully Targeting and Reaching Students

S.T.A.R.S is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and Illinois State Board of Education. STARS provides academic, life skills and enrichment activities for youth.

Students who attend Glen Flora and Clearview Elementary Schools, Robert Abbott, Jack Benny, Jefferson, Miguel Juarez and Daniel Webster Middle Schools, Waukegan High School (Washington and Brookside Campuses), Credit Recovery and AOEC/Stephens' Center will be asked to participate in the 21st Century STARS program this upcoming season.

This will give us the resources to monitor our athletes grades and school behavior.

As a result of this new alliance, effective immediately, The Waukegan Chiefs will retire the name and we will become The Waukegan Jr. Bulldogs and our colors will be Purple, Green and Gold.

After over 30 years of being Chiefs, we must travel this road united in order to move our program to the next level. We understand this transition may be difficult for some, but know in your heart, Once a Chief, always a Chief but regardless of our name or colors, we will continue to have some of the best parents & players in Lake County.

EQUIPMENT DEPOSIT!!

Is a deposit that is held by the Chiefs for the duration of the season, and is returned to the parents at the end of the season when the equipment is returned in good condition. The deposit is written by a seperate check that will be held and returned to you when you when the equipment has been returned.

The WYFA main source of communication to the partens is through our website and Facebook page under Waukegan Chiefs Youth Football Association, always refer to the websites for the most up to date information regarding Registrations, Practices etc..
